Celebrating international successes in 2025 of over 90 Nordic titles
From Golden Bears in Berlin to Golden Pandas in Chengdu: Nordic titles have won big and small at international festivals, and here is an overview.
Two Swedes received their second Golden Globes yesterday: composer Ludwig Göransson and actor Stellan Skarsgård.
During 2025 Sentimental Value (Affeksjonverdi) garnered several awards, including the Grand Prix in Cannes, as well as numerous prestigious nominations, among them eight Golden Globe nominations (CLICK HERE). Stellan Skarsgård secured the sole Golden Globe for Sentimental Value for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his role as film director Gustav Borg, marking the first Golden Globe ever awarded to a Norwegian production.
This is the second time Skarsgård receives a Golden Globe. In 2020 he won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his role as the high-ranking Soviet official Boris Shabbina in the British drama series Chernobyl.
Another Swede snatched a Golden Globe for the second time, as Ludwig Göransson received the Golden Globe for Best Score Motion Picture for Sinners. Göransson won the same category in 2023 for Oppenheimer.
