The Norwegian car racing film produced by Filmkameratene is this year’s best opener in Norway.

Launched on October 12 on 191 Norwegian screens, the film directed by Hallvard Bræin had the best launch ever for a Norwegian film with 55,834 admissions the first day according to distributor SF Norge. The previous record holder was Kon Tiki (54,641). 

Last weekend Børning 2 sold more than 118,049 tickets and went straight to number one on the Top 10 openers 2016 in Norway. Cumulated figures after five days are 212,035. The action comedy is sold by SF Studios International.

The second biggest Norwegian opener of 2016 - The King’s Choice - directed by Erik Poppe continues to climb to new heights. After four weeks, the WW2 drama is the top selling film of the year with more than 508,000 admissions, ahead of the US romantic film Me Before You (406,648).
