The Nordic Council of Ministers has appointed new members to NFTVF’s Board of Directors, replacing two board members who recently have stopped working for parties of the Fund.
In 2023, the Nordic Council of Ministers appointed NFTVF’s current Board of Directors. The current members were appointed for a three-year mandate, until the end of 2025. To be eligble, a board member needs to work for one of the Fund’s parties. Thus, the representation can change within a mandate period.
When stepping down as Head of Funding at the Swedish Film Institute in June, Lena Glaser also left her position on NFTVF’s board. SFI’s Head of Production and Development Charlotta Denward has been appointed the new board member to represent the Fund’s Swedish parties. The board’s Chairperson since 2023 is Danish Nikolaj Vitting Hermann, Head of Content and Collaboration at DR. Denward will serve as the board’s Deputy Chairperson.
Since May 2024, Denward is Head of the production support unit at the Swedish Film Institute. She started out in the film industry as a cinema manager. Since then, she has had numerous positions in Swedish film production. From 2020 to 2024, she worked as Executive Producer for feature films at Sveriges Television (SVT).
Gísli Snær Erlingsson, Director of the Icelandic Film Centre (IFC), is appointed to represent NFTVF’s Icelandic parties. The former Icleandic board member Sigurrós Hilmarsdóttir stepped down from her position as Head of Production at IFC in July.
Erlingsson is an award-winning director and the former Director & CEO of the London Film School. His extensive international experience includes leading the Puttnam School of Film in Singapore and managing the Japanese distribution and production company Ansur Pictures. After working for Icelandic national broadcaster RÚV and acting in various film roles, he studied directing and producing at SVT, and graduated from La Fémis in Paris.
