Head of Unit Lucía Recalde is among the key EU speakers invited to debate with Nordic professionals at the next Audiovisual Collaboration 2021 session.

As part of the Audiovisual Collaboration 2021, Nordisk Film & TV Fond is inviting Nordic film and TV professionals to the webinar with key representatives from the EU MEDIA Programme.

The digital session is open to all Nordic professionals through our registration link.

Registration enables participants to mail questions beforehand.

Panellists from the European Commission will include:

  • Lucia Recalde, Head of Unit ‘Audiovisual Industry & Media Support Programmes’
  • Emmanuel Joly, Senior Expert

The EC experts will be answering questions from Nordic professionals, both sent in advance and in a live debate with industry representatives including Katrine Vogelsang, Head of Drama, TV2 Denmark, Gudny Hummelvoll, Norwegian producer (Hummelfilm), President of the European Producers Club and Thomas Gammeltoft, Creative Director, True Content Entertainment, Denmark who will also be moderating the session.

The discussion will be introduced by Liselott Forsman, CEO at Nordisk Film & TV Fond. It will focus on the EU’s Action Plan, Audiovisual Media Services Directive, the new Creative Europe programme.

Specific topics to be discussed include:

  • What concrete actions are available to help the audiovisual sector survive the current pandemic?
  • How to protect Content and IP and encourage export?
  • Producers and creators of European content-how can they secure diversity and collaborate harmoniously with global streaming services?
  • EU Policy vs national support and state aid: How does the EU programme enforce legislation and align themselves with local EU members?

Audiovisual Collaboration 2021 is a joint initiative from Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, under its Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers, to build bridges between the Nordic industry and key decision-makers.

After the EU Session, Audiovisual Collaboration 2021’s next stop will be at CPH:DOX in April.
