The Norwegian-Canadian-Greek drama series So Long, Marianne has garnered three nominations at Canadian Screen Awards, to be held in Toronto on June 1st. The series, created by Ingeborg Klyve and Tony Wood and written by Øystein Karlsen and Jo Næsbø, portrays the relationship between Leonard Cohen and Marianne Ihlen, set against the backdrop of the 1960s counterculture movement.
The Canadian Screen Awards are presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, and widely regarded as the most prestigious recognition for Canadian television series, considered the Canadian equivalent of the Oscars and Emmys.
