Projects can be submitted until April 30th. See 2025 criteria.

The Nordic Co-Production Market takes place on August 20th during the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund.

It’s a key financing market that offers opportunities for producers to present projects to co-producers, film funds, distributors, and international sales agents. The market annually gathers around 350 film professionals interested in Nordic films.

Producers can now apply with a project in an advanced stage of development seeking co-producers, co-financing, and/or international sales agents.

Project criteria

  • Full-length cinema feature film suitable for international co-production
  • Completed screenplay in English (preferably)
  • Production budget: Moderate
  • At least 30% of the budget already covered (preferably)
  • The company must have completed one international co-production (preferably)

Eligible applicants

All Nordic production companies are eligible to apply. Production companies with film projects with a connection to the Nordic countries can apply provided the story is set in the Nordic countries or if the producer is explicitly seeking a Nordic co-producer. This year, there is a special focus on the Baltics, making all Baltic producers eligible to apply.

Offered to the selected filmmakers:

  • A unique opportunity to present your projects to industry professionals
  • Accommodation at the festival hotel for the director and the producer
  • Festival and market accreditation for the director and the producer
  • Description of the film in the New Nordic Films catalogue and website
  • Tailor-made one-on-one meetings with key industry players
