Lars von Trier's Melancholia swept the Danish Film Academy's annual Robert awards last Sunday, taking home ten statuettes including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script, Best Actress (Kirsten Dunst) and Best Supporting Actress (Charlotte Gainsbourg).

Trier's drama has won over a dozen awards since its world premiere in Cannes 2011, including Best Film at the European Film Awards and at the National Society of Film Critics, USA. The film was produced by Zentropa, who picked up two other Roberts for Best Documentary (Mads Brügger's The Ambassador) and Best Film for Children and Youth (Heidi Maria Faisst's Rebounce).

The second biggest winner at the Roberts ceremony was Martin P. Zandvliet's A Funny Man (Dirch) produced by Koncern Film which collected six awards such as Best Actor (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and Best Supporting Actor (Lars Ranthe).

Two graduation films from the National Film School of Denmark which screened at Nordic Talents last September were awarded: Asger K. Kallesøe's My Brother Karim won Best Long Fiction and Mira Jargil's The Time We Have Best Short Documentary. Rasmus Heide's comedy All for One received the Audience award, and Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive a Robert for Best US Film.

An Honorary award was handed out to veteran filmmaker Henning Carlsen.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond was associated to 17 Roberts out of 19 possible wins.
