The Worst Person in the World’s director and writing duo will continue to develop their projects for their own outfit Don’t Look Now Productions.

Also set to leave the company are producers Andrea Berentsen Ottmar and Dyveke Graver, en route for Cannes with their Un Certain Regard selected film Sick of Myself.

Trier and Vogt joined Oslo Pictures in 2018 with Thomas Robsahm who produced the multi-awarded The Worst Person in the World alongside Berentsen Ottmar. Robsahm was the first to leave the company for Nordisk Film Production Norway earlier this year.

Trier and Vogt said in a joint statement: "We are grateful for the time we’ve had at Oslo Pictures and the success we’ve shared on The Worst Person in the World, but it is time to go separate ways, and the neatest thing is to make it clear that we no longer are related to Oslo Pictures or some of the company's future projects. We are now in full swing with the writing and development of Joachim's upcoming projects in our own company, and we’re looking forward to a new chapter with new production partners."
Berentsen Ottmar said she will pursue her collaboration with Trier."I intend to continue working on Joachim's next project, but we are not rushing anything in terms of structure," she told nordicfilmandtvnews.com.

While the future of Oslo Pictures’ fiction division is now uncertain, the company has recently strengthened its documentary unit by hiring the internationally established Tonje Hessen Schei and Bjarte Mørner Tveit, now working alongside head of docs Tommy Gulliksen.

The latter who is one of the partners at Oslo Pictures, told nordicfilmandtvnews.com: “We have a healthy documentary department. Now we have to rebuild our fiction unit, but we are confident as we have a strong slate of features coming up.”

Those include Kristoffer Borgli’s dark comedy Sick of Myself, due to premiere this fall, and the thriller Ebba by Johanna Pyykkö, set to start filming this month.
