International partners interested in co-producing with the Nordics can consult the new website and practical tool www.coproducingwiththenordics.com.

The user-friendly website www.coproducingwiththenordics.com is a comprehensive ‘How to’ guide for international partners wishing to co-produce with the Nordics and to access the national and regional public funds available for short films, feature length films, documentaries, and/or TV dramas.

The online co-production guide is a joint-initiative between Nordisk Film & TV Fond, the Danish Film Institute, the Swedish Film Institute, the Norwegian Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Icelandic Film Centre and the Creative Media Desks in Denmark, Iceland Finland, Norway and Sweden.

As part of the Nordic region’s strategy to create a more sustainable and green industry, the website will be replacing the printed booklet ‘Co-producing with the Nordics’, published every year during the Berlinale, which was available last year in a digital version.

“Our hope is that this site will help producers from all corners of the world find valuable financial information and good inspiration to collaborate with our constantly forward-looking Nordic industry,” said Liselott Forsman, CEO at Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

The following practical information is available:

  • Key contacts
  • Summary of the production and co-production schemes at the five national film organisations, with key requirements and criteria to apply for support, 2022 application deadlines, and a selective list of minority co-productions supported in 2021.
  • Cash rebates and production incentives in Iceland, Finland, Norway with a list of recent international productions that benefitted from the filming schemes.
  • Regional film funds and film commissions in the Nordics.
  • Description of Nordisk Film & TV Fond, its production and distribution support schemes and a selection of projects supported in 2021.
  • The role and tasks of the Creative Europe Media Desks in the Nordics.

International partners will be able to access the website directly at www.coproducingwiththenordics.com or via Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s own site www.nordiskfilmogtvfond.com under the Funding menu.
