Tomorrow the Norwegian soap opera and longest running TV drama ever in Scandinavia is celebrating its 3000th episode with songs and dance.
For 18 years Norwegian viewers have followed religiously the family Anker-Hansen and their Hotel Caesar from Monday to Thursday at 19.30 on TV2. Tomorrow’s 3000th anniversary will be celebrated with a musical episode directed by Thomas Kaiser together with Stein Johan Steinjo who has composed the music. TV2 Norway’s Head of Drama Christopher Haug said: It feels wonderful and slightly surreal to reach the 3000 mark. I am humbled and grateful for all those who took part in the production and those at TV2 who worked hard so that we would write Norwegian television history.”
A total of 1,150 hours of Hotel Caesar have been produced since 1998. In December the drama series will move from linear TV to TV2’s streaming service TV2 Sumo. World sales are handled by NordicWorld.
