The crime drama-winner of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize - is nominated for six Finnish Golden Venlas including Best TV drama.

Produced by MRP Matila Röhr Productions for Elisa Viihde, All the Sins (Kaikki synnit) is also running for Best Direction (Mika Ronkainen), Screenplay (Ronkainen and Merja Aako), while Maria Sid and Kreeta Salminen are both vying for Best Actress, and Johannes Holopainen for Best Actor. A second season is currently in production.

Elisa Viihde’s other original show Shadow Lines (Nyrkki) produced by Zodiak Finland is running in four categories for Best Drama, Direction (AJ Annila and Alli Haapasalo), Screenplay (Katri Manninen and Kirsti Manninen), and Actress (Emmi Parviainen).

The leading Finnish streaming service has two dramas nominated for Best comedy - Idiomatic (Jättekiva) from Zodiak Finland, and Maanantai (Tack Films), while Iina Kuustonen who stars in the Finnish/German crime show Arctic Circle (Ivalo) is running for Best Actress.

Yle’s most nominated series is the comedy M/S Romantic (Yellow Film & TV), vying for Best Drama, Direction (Jani Volanen), Screenplay (Jani Volanen and Tommi Korpela) and Actor (Hannu-Pekka Björkman), while the Finnish/Chilean drama Invisible Heroes (Kaiho Republic) is competing for Best TV Drama, Direction (Mika Kurvinen) and Screenplay (Tarja Kylmä, Manuela Infante).

Two Yle comedies are Golden Venla nominees: Adults (Aikuiset) from Yellow Film & TV, and Modern Men (Modernit miehet) from Moskito TV, also running for Best Actor (Eero Milonoff), while Matleena Kuusniemi, lead actress in the crime show Hooked (Koukussa) is nominated in her category.

Within children and youth programmes, Yle has a clean slate of five nominations out of five: the online series Kalle and Keijo's Library Classification (Hullu – hullumpi – yläaste), Nerd: DragonSlayer 666 (Nörtti: DragonSlayer666), and Metsähaaste, produced for Yle Areena, as well as Gutsy Animation’s Moomin Valley (Muumilaakso) and Pikku Kakkonen: Karhun valtakunnassa, produced for Yle TV2.

C More/TV4 has a strong drama contender in Welcome to Texas (Aallonmurtaja) from Warner Bros In’l TV Production Finland, vying for Best TV series, Best Direction (Mikko Kuparinen), Best Screenplay (Miira Karhula), and Best Actress (Maria Ylipää).

Yellow Film & TV’s Sunday Lunch (Sunnuntailounas) is running for Best Comedy, Screenplay (Atte Järvinen) and Actor (Taneli Mäkelä).

The Golden Venlas ceremony will be transmitted live on Nelonen on January 17, 2020.
