Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland (pictured) starts filming today his first Danish film A Conspiracy of Faith (Flaskepost fra P), third instalment in the Department Q film franchise produced by Zentropa. Two Star names in Norway have been added to the stellar cast: Jakob Oftebro and Pål Sverre Hagen. They join Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares who return as investigators Carl Mørck and his partner Assad.
TrustNordisk has already pre-sold the title to more than 15 countries such as France (Wildbunch), Spain (Vertigo), Benelux (Lumiere), North America (IFC Films), Poland (Kino Swiat) and Russia (Silverbox).
In the story written by Nikolaj Arcel from Jussi Adler-Olsen’s best-selling novels, the siblings Samuel and Magdalena who grew up in a religious community in Denmark suddenly disappear. Meanwhile, the Police Headquarters in Copenhagen find an eight year old message in a bottle with a cry for help from a boy in captivity.
The two previous films in the series directed by Mikkel Nørgaard -The Keeper of Lost Causes and The Absent One - sold more than 720,000 cinema tickets in Denmark and were number at the local box office in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
A Conspiracy of Faith will be released in Denmark on February 25, 2016.
