The celebrated Norwegian comedian Atle Antonsen will lend his voice to the beloved cartoon character Kurt the truck driver in the CGI animation film Kurt Turns Evil (Kurt blir grusom) directed by Rasmus A. Sivertsen (Captain Sabertooth).
"Atle IS really Kurt. We couldn't have found anyone better than him to play the role," said Sivertsen.
The animation film adapted for the silver screen by Karsten Fullu and Per Schreiner (The Bothersome Man) is based on Erlend's stories and Kim Hjortøy's drawings. The production for the NOK22m project started in March 2006 and will last until August 31, 2008. Nordisk Film's Cornelia Boysen (10 Lives of Titanic the Cat) is producing with Ove Heiborg (Qvisten Animation AS), with support from the Norwegian Film Fund, the Danish Film Institute and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Delivery date is set for October 31, 2008.
