Danica Curcic plays the title role in the film Mødre Gruppen directed by Charlotte Sachs Bostrup (Something’s Rockin’).

TrustNordisk handles world sales. Mødre Gruppen (lit ‘Mothers group’) tells of Line (Curcic) who leads a high life in Hong Kong with her husband Bjørn (Anders W. Berthelsen). When she discovers that Bjørn has an affair with their Filipino nanny, she decides to head back to her hometown in southern Funen with her baby boy. There, she finds comfort and support from a bustling mothers group and reconnects with her cousin Maja (Borgen’s Julie Agnete Vang), while Bjørn cuts down her financial support and threatens to take their son back.

Other cast members comprise Marijana Jankovic (Norskov), Lærke Winther (Three Things), Martin Buch (Swinger) and Stephanie León (Bagland)

Zentropa’s top producer Sisse Graum Jørgensen (In a Better World, The Hunt) said: "We are very proud of the star-led ensemble cast we have gathered both in front of and behind the camera, and are looking forward to getting started with the filming at Fyn and in Copenhagen. We make great efforts to create a festive, fun, entertaining Danish comedy with something at heart for cinemagoers.”

The film is produced by Zentropa with co-financing from TV2 Film Fyn, and support from the Danish Film Institute. Nordisk Film Distribution plans to release it in Denmark on February 7, 2019.
