The TV series based on Kristina Ohlsson’s best-selling crime novels premieres this Wednesday on C More, ahead of its international launch at MIPCOM.
The central character in the 10-part series is criminologist Frederika Bergmann (Liv Mjönes), who after a tragic car accident, accepts a job at Stockholm police’s special investigation unit. Her colleagues’ initial hostility towards her gradually turn into respect, as her unique perspective and sense of logic help them solve their cases. Frederika’s partners are chief inspector Alex Recht (Jonas Karlsson) and is his right-hand man Peder Rydh (Alexej Manvelov).
The series is co-written by Jörgen Hjerdt (Blue Eyes) and Pauline Wolff; Karin Fahlén is concept director and Lisa Ohlin episodic director. Piodor Gustafsson, Martina Stöhr and Petra Jönsson are producing for Black Spark Film & TV/Kärnfilm, in co-production with C More/TV4, ZDF, ZDF Enterprises, Nice Drama, Chimney Pot, Film Capital Stockholm, Benelux’s Lunanime, in collaboration with Co_Made.
After its launch on C More, the show will run on TV4 and TV4 Play from October 17. In Germany, it will premiere next year on ZDF’s Sunday 22.00 slot for international co-productions. ZDFE will launch the series at MIPCOM in Cannes with the support of the key cast & crew.
