Following up on its Millennium films and Headhunters' international success, Yellow Bird's new crime adaptation Nobel's Last Will based on Liza Marklund's best-selling novel has been licensed by Zodiak Rights to over 30 territories at the last American Film Market, including the US.

US distributor Malabar Entertainment will release it in US cinemas. Nobel's Last Will is the first of a series of six films based on Swedish author Liza Marklund's best-selling novels about crime reporter Annika Bengtzon. Swedish rising star Malin Crepin plays the lead under the helm of the Danish director Peter Flinth. The series is produced by Yellow Bird in co-production with Nordisk Film, TV4, Germany's ARD Degeto, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Nordisk Film Distribution will release Nobel's Last Will in Swedish cinemas on March 2, 2012, Norway on March 9 and in Denmark on June 7. The other films directed by Flinth, Agneta Fagerström-Olsson (Wallander: The Angel of Death) and Ulf Kvensler (Solsidan) will go directly to DVD.

The Nordic crime wave on world screens started to catch fire with Yellow Bird's Millennium films based on Stieg Larsson's best-selling trilogy novels. David Fincher's US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo co-produced by Yellow Bird will be launched in North American and across Scandinavia on December 21, 2011.
