Anagram Sweden’s series penned by head-writer Erik Ahrnbom (The Bridge, Thin Blue Line) just wrapped filming in Ystad.

The strong creatives attached to the 8x28’ drama comedy Keep it Together (Hålla samman) also include concept director Maria Blom (Dalecarlians, Monky), episodic director Martin Larsson who co-wrote the script, and episodic writers Ida Kjellin and Vanja Torp.

The story tackles different aspects of family life - from the daily situations to the life altering ones. It’s about how you take on life with humour and lightness and hold on to the good times, despite hardships.

The main characters are two adult sisters who are total opposites. Lina is a nurse and lives with her 14-year-old twins Molly and Melvin. She is impulsive and warm-hearted. Her pragmatic and controlled elder sister Petra, works in a kitchen shop and coaches a junior basketball team. She lives with Dejan and their two kids Viktor and Alice. The siblings are forced to agree and find solutions when their father Kenneth is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

In title roles are Michaela Thorsén (Honour, Spring Tide), Lennart Jähkel (We Got This! The Hunters) and Ulrika Nilsson.

The series is produced by Emma Åkesdotter-Ronge (Sisters 1968) and Ann Lundberg for Anagram Sweden, in co-production with Finland’s Helsinki filmi, SVT, and Film i Skåne.

Commenting on the series international appeal, Dwyer says “family and relationship dramas have a proven appeal”.

The series will officially launch at MIPCOM in Cannes. Its premiere on SVT1 and SVT Play is scheduled for the fall 2023.
