The Danish documentary The Soldier produced by Lina Flint will world premiere in competition at CPHDOX March 24.

The Soldier is the feature length debut of stills photographer Nikola Møller whose work ranges from fashion photography to portraits of women in Peruvian prisons and Danish soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

In the documentary The Soldier, Møller has focused his gaze and lens on Henrik, a Danish veteran from the war in Afghanistan who  lives in the Amazon jungle, and treats his PTSD with natural remedies and the world's strongest hallucinogenic drink, Ayahuasca. The 75-minute film is the portrait of a broken man as he struggles in the jungle for three full years.

Line Flint, producer of Gustav Møller’s breakthrough film The Guilty and co-winner with the director of a Special Mention Award at Nordic Talents 2016 is producing for Nordic Film Spring, with backing from DR2.

The film will compete at the upcoming CPHDOX Festival for the NEXT:Wave Award and Politiken:Danish:Dox for Best Danish documentary.

The film will then premiere on DR2 in April 2020.
