Praised for her visionary leadership and extensive knowledge of the film industry, Tine Fischer will assume her new role on August 1st.

Experienced cultural profile Tine Fischer will become the director of the Danish Film Institute. She has been the director of the National Film School of Denmark since 2021, and previously led CPH:DOX. Fischer will replace Claus Ladegaard, who has served as the Film Institute's CEO for 18 years.

The chairperson of the Institute's board, Trine Nielsen, praised Fischer's visionary leadership and extensive knowledge of the film industry. Fischer expressed her pride and gratitude, stating that the Film Institute should be a unifying force in Danish cinema, fostering innovation and diversity.

Fischer will assume her new role as CEO in August.
