Marie Grahtø’s directorial debut set in a psychiatric ward, is produced by Amalie Lyngbo Quist and Julie Friis Walenciak of Denmark’s Beo Starling, in coproduction with Finland’s Bufo Film, and support from the Danish Film Institute’s New Danish Screen, the Finnish Film Foundation, and Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

It’s the story of two women on a course of collision. Viktoria, a young psychologist, accepts the suicidal Jenny as her patient. A psychiatric hospital becomes their church, where they as two primordial forces, seek meaning and forgiveness in faith, sex and violence.

The project was selected at Cannes’s L’Atelier 2017 and Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s ‘Nordic Genre Boost’.

The Danish theatrical release is set for spring 2019.
