The established Finnish producer credited for Omerta 6/12, will be responsible for delivering all Take Two Studios productions.

Sara Norberg has joined the new production house from Antti Jokinen’s Cinematic, where she oversaw the production of Aku Louhimies’ action thriller Omerta 6/12 and remake of the animation film Comet in Moominlandas executive producer. Her various positions in the Finnish film industry over the last two decades include managing director of the Helsinki International Film Festival-Love & Anarchy, line producer/production manager at Making Moving and production manager at Sandrew Metronome-Theatrical.

Set up in October 2021 by seasoned audiovisual executives Eero Hietala, Lasse Koskinen and Ilkka Hynninen, Take Two Studios’ ambitions is to develop and produce high-concept drama, documentaries and podcasts. The new players’ current slate includes the crime series 506 Grams of Ural Snow. When police inspector Tuomo Marttinen arrests a Russian drug lord in Helsinki, he is swiftly drawn into a deadly mission that leads to the discovery of a surprising truth about his son who disappeared 10 year earlier.

The company has also optioned two BBC Studios scripted dramas- Luther and Doctor Foster for the Finnish market.

Norberg said she is looking forward to working with the seasoned media specialists Hietala, Koskinen and Hynninen. “Together we have decided to become a strong international specialist in drama and documentary production whilst not ruling out features. We have a perfect team of partners with diverse experience in business, programming, production and developing ideas to audiences. With the knowledge of both the Finnish industry and the international content business our slate consists of versatile projects for both local and international audiences. We are especially inspired by stories based on true events and we are planning to launch a podcast network that will work as a testing ground and IP creation vehicle for our content”, she stated.
