Under the helm of Beatrice Karlsson, Stockholm’s Industry Days will be rolling out the red carpet for world class international film personalities, Swedish industry people and rising talents between November 14-16.
International star names set to deliver inspirational masterclasses include Ken Loach’s long-time scriptwriter Paul Laverty - part of a UK Focus - Danish writer/director/producer Lone Scherfig, Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren (La La Land) and filmmaker David F Sandberg who will both share their experience of working in Scandinavia and Hollywood.
Swedish talents lined-up include director Mikael Håfström, who will unveil behind the scenes secrets of his anticipated epic Stockholm Bloodbath, together with producer Helena Danielsson. The national premiere via Scanbox is scheduled for January 19, 2024.
The Swedish Film Institute and SVT’s debut initiatives Moving Sweden and Wild Card, will be celebrating their 5th anniversary while the overall state of Swedish film will be debated by SVT’s Anna Croneman and Lena Glaser, NonStop Entertainment’s Jakob Abrahamsson, filmmaker/intimacy coordinator Marta Dauliute, journalists Karoline Eriksson and Hynek Pallas.
Among streamers, heavyweight players from SkyShowtime (Monty Sarhan, Kai Finke), Warner Bros.Discovery (Ragnhild Thorbech, Axel Eriksson) and SVT (Agneta Perman, Charlotta Denward) will unveil their strategies and views on the entertainment paradigm shift. Other panels will focus on AI and piracy.
One of the most anticipated sessions, the works in progress will stage no less than 18 presentations of upcoming works, looking for co-financing or distribution.

Meanwhile the Stockholm International Film Festival unspooling November 8-19 will be showcasing 130 films from 50 countries.
