The Finnish prodco dominates the Finnish film charts with Reunion 2 and starts filming season 2 of The Office, both with comedian Sami Hedberg.

Released on November 2 by Nordisk Film, the comedy Luokkakokous 2 - Polttarit (Reunion 2) directed by Taneli Mustonen went straight to number one of the Finnish Top Ten with 83,381 admissions or a total of 116,861 including previews, making it the biggest opening film of 2016 in Finland. The film is the sequel to the 2015 Finnish smash hit and remake of the Danish film Klassefesten, based on an original script by Danish writers Claudia Boderke and Lars Mering.

In the Finnish version, the three friends and old class mates are played by the Finnish star comedy actor Sami Hedberg, as well as Jaajo Linnonmaa and Aku Hirviniemi.

The first Finnish remake sold a total of 505,376 tickets and was the second biggest local film in Finland in the last 25 years. 

On the TV front Solar Film group’s TV arm Solar Republic is editing Konttori, remake of the British mockumentary sitcom The Office with Hedberg replacing Ricky Gervais as the hapless office manager. The second season of eight episodes written by Mike Pohjola and directed by Janne Reinikainen (Northern Mishaps) starts filming this week. Jesse Fryckman is producing.

The comedy is set to premiere on the SVOD platform Elisa in the spring 2017 and Nelonen will kick start the airing on linear TV in the fall 2017.
