SVT's current Head of Drama, Anna Croneman takes up the post as the CEO of the Swedish Film Institute in mid-April.
Prior to her work at SVT were she started in 2017, Anna Croneman worked as a producer at Avanti Film, a company she co-funded. She has produced a number of films and drama series and held the positions as vice chair at the SFI board and at the Swedish Film & TV Producers Association. Croneman is trained as a producer at the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art.
In SFI’s press release Croneman says:
”Swedish film is facing some huge challenges, and the task ahead feels quite overwhelming at this point. Having said that, it is of course a great honour to take over as CEO of the Swedish Film Institute. I am grateful for this opportunity, and promise to do my utmost in order to establish a new and better foundation for the future of Swedish film and the preservation of our film heritage, alongside expert colleagues and some of the leading representatives of our industry in Sweden.”
Croneman was appointed by the Board of Directors of the Swedish Film Institute.
