The Swedish TV exec has been recruited by the US studios’ Swedish division to supervise its TV drama unit. Hedman who is currently Head of Head of TV at SF Studios will bring his expertise in development and production of premium scripted content to Warner Bros. International Television Production Sweden (WBITVP Sweden), and will report to the company’s managing director Johan Idering.

His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to local scripted TV content and I look forward to the ideas and energy he will bring to this part of our Swedish operation.”

Recent Swedish series on WBITVP Sweden’s line-up include Farang produced by Warner Bros-owned Eyeworks, with backing from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. The thriller starring Ola Rapace opened successfully on C More in March and will premiere on TV4 and TV4 Play August 23rd.

The company also produced SVT’s upcoming 24 part Christmas calendar series The Secrets of the Mirrors (Speglarnas henlighet) inspired by Erika Vallin’s fantasy adventure book series of the same name.
