“SF Studios’ involvement in the film marks an important step in the production, and I couldn’t be happier with SF Studios’ release schedule and plans”, said producer Kaukomaa.

Jenny Stjernströmer Björk, Chief Content Officer at SF Studios said: ” Iron Sky the Coming Race is a fantastic project with a unique universe and a big fan-base that gives us an opportunity to build an innovative campaign for the Nordic market”.

The €17 million film is written by Dalan Musson and produced by Finland’s Iron Sky Universe, together with Germany’s 27 Films Production and Belgium’s Potemkino. The special effects were created by Oscar-winning German studio Pixomondo (Game of Thrones). In the main roles are Lara Rossi (Crossing Lines), Vladimir Burlakov (Deutschland ’83) and cult actor and Lars von Trier regular collaborator Udo Kier.

In the second instalment of the Moon Nazi trilogy, the story is set 25 years after the original movie. The former Nazi Moon base has become the last refuge of mankind, as planet Earth was devastated by a nuclear war. Survivors try to venture into the centre of the ruined planet but have to face an army of dinosaurs guarding the Holy Grail.

During the Cannes Film Festival, Myriad genre label Scoundrel Media was announced as international sales agent and the Iron Sky team celebrated the franchise’s 10th anniversary.
