Anni Faurbye Fernandez, Moa Westeson and Cindy Hanson have co-founded the new Stockholm/Copenhagen outfit, backed by London-based Nevision.
Nevis Productions aims at creating high-end scripted content in Scandinavian and English language, appealing both for Nordic and global audiences.
The three producers who worked together at the Norwegian production company Cinenord boast a strong track record.
Nevis CEO Anni Faurbye Fernandez was CEO at Yellow Bird and co-founder of Good Company Films before joining Cinenord in 2018. Her credits include the Stieg Larsson Millennium trilogy films, the Wallander series (Swedish and UK versions) and Milad Alami’s debut feature The Charmer.
Westeson worked as film producer/co-producer for Breidablick and SF Studios before moving into TV drama at Cinenord. Her credits include Vegas, Jerry Maya’s Detective Agency and Veum.
Hanson worked in the UK in script development at BBC Drama on shows such as Waking the Dead and Occupation. She then joined Cinenord as development producer and series creator, collaborating on the major series Wisting among others.
The three executives are joined by junior producer Matilde Norgaard.
Nevision which has taken an equity in Nevis, specialises in co-financing, production and co-production of high-quality original content across all genres, such as the British hit series Keeping Faith, Swedish series Alex (Viaplay) Norwegian drama Atlantic Crossing (NRK) and Danish film Wild Witch by Kasper Munk. The UK outfit also has a long-standing relationship and minority stake in Paris-based production and distribution company About Premium Content (APC), representing various Nordic premium dramas.

Fernandez told nordicfilmandtvnews.com: “I’ve known Nevision since 2015. It makes perfect sense for us to work with them as our ambition is to produce English-language projects next to Nordic high-end content. We will look at all synergy opportunities with Nevision which has a large network of connections across Europe.”
Asked if APC would have a first look Nevis projects, Fernandez said: “We are a completely independent company and will look at the best distribution options for each project.”
In terms of content, Fernandez said Nevis’ main focus is TV drama, but she will consider feature film, if an opportunity arises.
The company plans to work across all genres and formats.
Nevis’s initial slate is the following:
