Medbøe who is working for NRK P3, will be joining the US group’s Norwegian outpost in August 2022.

As Head of Scripted, Medbøe will oversee all Norwegian drama productions for TVNorge and Discovery +, including humour programmes. She will report to Warner Bros. Discovery Norway’s director of programmes Magnus Vatn, taking over from Rasmus Børja Øyen.

The seasoned TV executive Medbøe has worked for various Norwegian production companies including Feelgood Scene Film & TV and most recently Klynge as Head of Production/Executive Producer. She is currently acting editor-in-chief TV and events at NRK P3. Before joining NRK, she worked as a consultant at Discovery’s programme division.

Magnus Vatn said about Medbøe: “We know her well from before, and know that she possesses a great commercial flair and an enormous work capacity. She also has an analytical mind, lots of experience and a very good network of contacts in the industry, so this is simply a very good match.”

Discovery+ and TVNorge have enjoyed the local critical success and international launch of The Oslo Company’s young adult drama Everything You Love (Alt du elsker) which won the High School Award-Best Series at the last Canneseries.
