The returning season of Miso Film’s hit Swedish drama will premiere on C More November 2 and later on TV4. FreemantleMedia International will introduce the show at MIPCOM.

Next to the previously announced international stars Kim Cattrall, Greg Wise and Billy Campbell are top Scandinavian actors Paprika Steen (Applause), Johan Rabaeus (Evil) Anja Lundqvist (Gåsmamman), Samuel Fröler (Nobel), Nina Zanjaniand (Wallander) and newcomer Sigge Eklund. Melinda Kinnaman and Henrik Norlen reprise their title roles as criminal psychologist Inger Johanne Vik and detective Ingvar Nymann created by Norwegian crime author Ann Holt.

Josefine Tengblad, Head of Drama at C More/TV4 said: “It's amazing that we've managed to get this ensemble cast! This is very much thanks to the fact that the first season was a major success both in Sweden and internationally”.

The series averaged more than 1.1 million viewers in Sweden and was sold to several territories including the UK, Germany, USA, France, Spain, and Japan.  Adapted again for the small screen by Danish writing duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe, season 2 begins with US President Helen Tyler (Kim Cattrall) on a state visit to Stockholm where she mysteriously disappears. Inger Johanne and Ingvar are investigating the case, while going through a major change in their lives, having moved in together and expecting their first baby. Everything is turned upside-down when Warren Shifford (Greg Wise), Inger Johannes’ former FBI mentor and right-hand man of the president, shows up.

Danish actress Paprika Steen plays Alva Roos, police commissioner and head of the Swedish task force. The series is directed by Lisa Siwe and produced by Miso Film Sweden’s Sandra Harms.
