The second season of the Norwegian political thriller is going to premiere on the Nordic streaming service Viaplay six months before airing on TV2 Norway.
Directed and co-created by Erik Skjoldbjærg for Yellow Bird, will have its world premiere on Viaplay across the Nordic region in the fall 2017. The series about a nation under foreign occupation will be the second original production commissioned by Viaplay after set to premiere this fall.
The first season of opened on TV2 Norway with nearly 700.000 viewers last fall and went on conquering TV screens in France (Arte) and the UK (Sky Arts) among others.
Christopher Haug, TV2 Norway Head of Drama said: “We are really pleased to have achieved this exciting collaboration [with Viaplay] that allows us to create a second season of . We look forward to offering the Norwegian audience more quality drama on TV2.”
The series was also just granted production support from the Norwegian Film Institute, together with the returning seasons of (Monster for NRK), the doc series (Rollo Tomasi AS), the new original series (13X15’) created by Thomas Seeberg Torjussen for Tordenfilm, and (10X22’) about a group of friends in a camp site produced by Monster Scripted for TV2.
