Pechou has a solid experience in European TV co-productions and acquisitions, having worked for France Televisions, the Lagardère Group before joining TrustNordisk as co-production manager in 2016. She was part of Rikke Ennis’ founding team at Reinvent Studios set up in 2018, serving as senior co-productions and sales manager. Most recently she worked as Creative Producer on the upcoming Faroese/Danish crime show TROM, backed by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
Commenting on her role at Nucleus Media Rights, French-born Pechou said she will focus on building bridges between the UK outfit, specialised in English-language scripted content for kids and adults, and international producers-notably from Scandinavia.
“My priority is to actively search for financing and creative partners for our projects, and scout for the right Scandinavian producers in order to develop together new shows that blend original, meaningful English and Nordic stories and talents,” she told nordicfilmandtvnews.com.
Founded in 2019 by French TV executive Bruno Zarka, Nucleus Media Rights handles development, production and global licensing of original and IP-based content. The company’ s current slate includes the eight-part crime drama Body of Water, created and written by Brendan Foley (Cold Courage). The project co-produced by Germany’s ZDFE and Italy’s 3Zero2 is expected to premiere in the fall 2022.
