Nina Ellen Ødegaard won best actress for her performance in Monster Scripted’s series Afterglow while NRK’s in-house dramedy Cammo won a Special Prize.
Ødegaard and Afterglow director Atle Knudsen were at Seoul’s awards ceremony on September 21st to pick up the award.
The heartfelt series about a woman dealing with cancer yet able to fill those around her with joy and happiness, had picked up earlier the High School Award-Best Series at Canneseries 2022 where it world premiered, and a Prix Europa-Best European TV Fiction Series 2022.
The seven-part series from Fremantle's Norwegian production label Monster Scripted premiered on NRK in 2022 and was sold by REinvent to the BBC.
Meanwhile the Norwegian pubcaster’s other innovative show Cammo created by and starring Caroline Glomnes, was awarded Seoul’s Special prize in honour of the spirit of humanity. The 7x16’ series tells of a media influencer who gets a job as the private secretary for a woman with Down syndrome. The comedy drama executive produced by Christina Rezk Resar first aired on NRK in April 2023. A second season is in pre-production.
