Further updates of the new Greenlandic Film Institute, the East Danish Film Fund and the Danish tax rebate system are to follow this spring.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond (NFTVF) yearly updates its user-friendly online guide “Co-producing with the Nordics” that offers advice on international co-financing of feature films, documentaries and short films.

The guide is put together by NFTVF in collaboration with the Danish Film Institute, the Swedish Film Institute, the Norwegian Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Icelandic Film Centre, the Faroese Film Institute, and the International Sámi Film Institute. The Greenlandic Film Institute is included for the first time. More information will be updated online during spring/summer.

Once the upcoming East Danish Film Fund is established in 2026, more information will be published about it.

More information will also follow on the recently introduced Danish tax rebate with a refund of 25% of the eligible costs incurred in Denmark. Its first deadline is in mid March 2026.

The guide includes:

  • A summary of the co-production schemes from the national film institutes/centres/foundations and regional film funds, with key criteria to apply for support and deadlines for 2026
  • Lists of Nordic minority co-productions and selection of international productions backed by the Icelandic and Faroese reimbursement schemes

  • National and regional film commissions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland
