NFTVF has started collecting Nordic open calls aimed at professionals who want to submit projects to festivals or participate in labs, workshops or other events. Submit calls or find ongoing ones!
Nordisk Film & TV Fond (NFTVF) is introducing a dedicated subpage for publishing festival calls and industry education and training opportunities at nordiskfilmogtvfond.com/open-calls. The section will include calls for professional films, series and documentaries (work in progress, pitch competitions etc) and pan-Nordic labs, workshops, masterclasses and related training or networking initiatives from various industry stakeholders.
NFTVF weekly receives requests to publish open calls. As this sort of information does not fit the weekly news coverage, a special section will be reserved for this need to help the Nordic audiovisual industry connect.
The “Nordic Open Calls” page will also be accessible via the website menu under the section Industry News. The section is in its early phases, but the industry is already invited to submit calls. This main section also includes Nordic Film & TV News and Nordic Trailers.
How to submit a call:
Send submissions to news@nftvfond.com, including:
Currently the section has five open calls: Stockholm International Film Festival invites directors and producers to present their upcoming projects. Also, directors working on their first, second or third long-format project are invited to pitch live during Stockholm Industry Days. Riga International Film Festival calls for Baltic and Finnish feature film and series projects at various stages of development, as well as short films in post-production. Fredrikstad Animation Festival 2026 looking for projects to the Storyline Production Pitch, a new platform for Nordic-Baltic feature animation. MOIN Film Fund, the Five Nordics, the German Federal Film Board, and the German Producers Alliance are inviting 40 experienced producers from Germany and the Nordics to the Nordic Nest kick-off event in Hamburg.
