In its April round of support, Nordisk Film & TV Fond awarded its biggest production grant to Joachim Rønning & Espen Sandberg's international feature film project Kon-tiki. Other grant recipients were Bille August (photo), Sara Johnsen, and the Swedish crime TV series Annika Bengtzon.

Nordisk Film Production AS's major international co-production Kon-tiki received NOK3 million towards its NOK80 million budget.  The epic adventures of Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl on his Kon-tiki raft is produced by Aage Aaberge, Lone Korslund (Nordisk Film), in co-production with Filmlance International (Sweden) and veteran UK producer Jeremy Thomas (Recorded Picture Company). The film is currently shooting with Pål Sverre Valheim Hagen as Heyerdahl.

Balladen om Marie (The Passion of Marie) by Danish Palme d'or and Oscar winning director Bille August is set around the year 1900. Marie Krøyer is married to the world famous painter P.S. Krøyer. They are what we call today 'celebrities'. But behind the perfect exterior Marie is living through hell. Produced by Karin Trolle and Signe Leick Jensen for SF Film Production, the historical project was awarded NOK1.750.000.

Det viktigste er forbi (‘All that Matters is Past') is the third feature film by multi-award winning Norwegian director Sara Johnsen, 2010 Nordic Council Film Prize nominee with Upperdog. Her new project tells the story of two brothers in their forties who are found dead in the forest. Next to them lies a woman, weak, but alive. Turid Øversveen is producing for 4½ Fiksjon AS. The project was awarded NOK1.500.000.

The TV series Annika Bengzon is based on the character of the same name invented by Swedish crime novelist Liza Marklund. Malin Crepin plays the uncompromising crime reporter. Peter Flinth, Agneta Fagerström-Olsson and Ulf Kvensler will direct the series produced by Jenny Gilbertsson for Yellow Bird. The TV project was awarded NOK2 million
