Nordic Talents 2026 filling up as programme announced

In collaboration with the National Film School of Denmark, Nordisk Film & TV Fond (NFTVF) invites you to join the 26th edition of the popular industry event Nordic Talents. As of today, 70% of the seats are already booked.

Registration includes:
9 September - Screenings (13.00-17.00), and networking dinner on DFI's Sult (18.00-21.00).
10 September - Main event: pitches, networking lunch, case studies, industry sessions, and award ceremony (09.00-15.30).

In the morning of September 10, Nordic graduating film students pitch ten professional projects that have been selected by pan-Nordic specialists from approximately 60 fresh suggestions. Registered delegates can see the finalists’ graduation films September 9 on the big screen in Copenhagen, and/or watch them online prior to the event.

After the pitches and the networking lunch that follows September 10, Nordic production companies introduce their current strategies, and two successful branding cases are presented. The Nordic producers on stage are: Claudia Saginario (Uma Film), Anttu Harlin (Gigglebug), Minna Haapkylä (Rabbit Films), Dyveke Bjørkly Graver (Eye Eye Pictures), Vilje Kathrine Hagen (Motlys), and Martin Persson (Anagram).

Finnish Harlin will also present a case study on the 360 universe of the upcoming title Tadpoles, designed for both horizontal and vertical screens, while Norwegian producer Ingunn Rensel (Anti) opens up the successful branding and distribution strategies of the Norwegian series Requiem for Selina (Rekviem for Selina).

NFTVF’s 2026 theme year title is Branding & Distribution, and this theme continues in the afternoon when Tine Fischer, CEO of the Danish Film Institute, Piia Nokelainen, Drama Commissioner, Yle, and other Nordic industry leaders discuss the international positioning of Nordic titles with Cornelia Klimkeit, Head of Film Sales Support at European Film Promotion.

The day ends with the annual award ceremony for the Pitch Prize and the Special Mention. The 2026 finalist jury consists of British creator, screenwriter and playwright David Farr; Danish documentary producer Helle Faber; Norwegian fiction producer Synnøve Hørsdal; Icelandic actor and writer Aníta Briem; Finnish MTV’s Commissioning Manager Janne Vakio; and Swedish Head of TV Drama Vision of Göteborg Film Festival Cia Edström. The jury members will have a short Q&A with the presenters after each pitch.
