Nordic film graduates are invited to apply for the Pitch Competition in early May and delegates asked to save the dates for registration in June.

Nordic Talents will take place September 4-5, 2024 at the National Film School of Denmark.

Project submission opens May 7 and closes June 1st at 13.00 CET.

The annual event organised by Nordisk Film & TV Fond in collaboration with the National Film School of Denmark, is the only Nordic Pitch Competition where newly graduated film students from the Nordics can win either the NOK 250,000 Nordic Talents Pitch Prize or NOK 50,000 Special Mention Prize as development funding for their first fiction, documentary, animation, hybrid feature or series project.

Nordic Talents is a must-attend event for talent scouting and networking between Nordic film students and film industry delegates.

Established directors who jump-started their careers by taking part in Nordic Talents include Hlynur Pálmason (Godland), May el-Toukhy (Queen of Hearts), Marja Pyykkö (Paradise), Gustav Möller (The Guilty), Kerren Lumer-Klabbers (The Architect), Maria Bäck (Psychosis in Stockholm) and Amanda Kernell (Sami Blood).

Last year’s winners of the Nordic Talents Pitch Prize were Norwegian director Malene Emelie Lyngstad and producer Carl Osbæck Adelkilde for their pitch of the film Cute, while the Special Mention Prize was handed out to Danish director Las Dyhrcrone who pitched the film Medicated. In March 2024 the Medicated pitch travelled to m:brane in Malmö, the content forum for kids and young, where it won the best pitch award.
