The Danish youth series is the first TV2 Zulu Fiction series sold to Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The 8x25’ Perfect Places (Perfekte steder) season 1 stars Gustav Giese (Animals Dream, Northwest) and Sara Hjort Ditlevsen (Below the Surface, The Lawyer) as Tobias and Rose who fall madly in love during the summer.
The first season of the TV show created by stand-up comedian and director Mikael Wulff, was a hit on TV2’s youth-oriented Zulu brand and streaming service TV2 Play when it premiered last fall; it was nominated for Best Short Format TV series at the Robert awards 2018 and won Best TV series at the 2018 Zulu Awards.
Viewers of SVT, Yle and TV2 Norway will be able to discover the Danish romantic show just before the summer holidays, while Danish fans can watch the next stage of Tobias and Sara’s relationship in a second season starting today on TV2 Zulu and TV2 Play. The returning season is produced by Julie Lind-Holm and Jacob Oliver Krarup for TV2 Zulu, with support from the Danish Film Institute’s Public Service Fund.
TV2 Fiction’s Executive Producer Maj-Britt Landin says “great emotions are still at stake in season 2, but it’s also about everyday life, choosing career and friends”. Her TV2 colleague Sune Roland, Head of Channels TV2 Zulu and TV2 Play adds: Perfekte steder is a series that ‘takes the youth seriously” and “part of TV2 Zulu’s ambition to come closer to youth’s reality”.
