Nordisk Film & TV Fond has teamed up with the national film institutes in the Nordic region to create a Financing Plan Template primarily for co-productions.The goal is to have higher standards and transparency.

The template is meant to be used as a guideline. It can be simplified and adjusted freely by producers to meet their specific requirements.

"Most of our applications are co-productions that include big and sometimes complicated financing plans," said Grimar Jonsson, (photo) Project Manager-Fiction at Nordisk Film & TV Fond. "Almost all applicants have a different set-up, and some are not as effective as they could be. With this new template, our idea is not to force anyone to use it, but we want to create a standard between the Nordic countries, which is why it has been developed in conjunction with the national film institutes in the Nordic countries and the template will be available on our respective websites."

"In order to make the template understandable, we have taken the example of a co-production between Norway, Iceland and France, where the Norwegian production company acts as a delegate producer. There are pro rata calculations between the production companies when it comes to Eurimages and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Hopefully this template will be useful for some producers out there."
