Gilbert’s Revenge, the latest kids movie produced by Norway’s Maipo Film (Doctor Proctor series) is set to hit Norwegian screens in September. The live action film is based on the book ‘egg’ by author Stein Erik Lunde.

Gilbert's Revenge
is the story of the 11-year old boy Gilbert who suffers from extreme egg allergy. When his aunty Doris comes to babysit and gives him eggs intentionally, Gilbert soon learns that the best defense is a good offense.

Hanne Larsen who directed the Amanda award-winner short film Varde in 2008, makes her directorial debut feature and co-wrote the script with Kathrine Valen Zeiner (episodic writer of the TV series Eyewitness). Next to newcomer Simon Hobbel Rosendahl who plays Gilbert are Egil Hegerberg and Swedish actress Frida Hallgren. Kristin Ulseth is producing for Maipo.

The prolific company headed by Synnøve Hørsdal has two films in production: the epic adventure The Ash Lad in the Hall of the Mountain King currently filming, and the third and final instalment in the Louis & Nolan (Solan & Ludvig) stop-motion animated feature film series Louis & Nolan: Mission to the Moon by Rasmus A. Sivertsen.
