Six of Norway's most established writers/directors are set to direct their new feature project within the next few months, with delivery dates set for 2013. Those are Bent Hamer, Bård Breien, Rune Denstad Langlo, Erik Poppe, Geir Henning Hopland and Joachim Trier's alter ego, scriptwriter Eskil Vogt (pictured) who is making his directorial debut.

The six films received a total production support NOK53.2 million from the Norwegian Film Institute.  Bent Hamer's new film 1001 Gram (1001 Grams) is a love story between Marie, a Norwegian scientist in her late thirties and Frenchman Jacques who meet in Paris during a seminar about kilo measurement. Hamer's own outfit BulBul Film is producing the NOK27.8m film set to start filming in September/October.

Eskil Vogt's directorial debut Blind and Rune Denstad Langlo's Jag etter vind (‘Chasing the wind') his second feature after the award-winning North, are both produced by Motlys.
Blind (NOk14.8m) starts shooting starts in August. Jag etter vind (‘Chasing the wind') (NOK21m) starts filming in May.

Paradox has also two major projects in the starting blocks: Erik Poppe's NOK37m drama A Thousand Times Goodnight (supported by Eurimages and Nordisk Film &TV Fond) is set to start filming in June, and Teresa & hennes 8 minuter elder bror (‘Teresa and her 8 minute older brother') in August. The NOK 15.7m comedy about inheritance is the feature film debut of Geir Henning Hopland (Lilyhammer).

Privatdetektiven (Private Detective) produced by Friland Film is Bård Breien's second feature after his successful 2006 debut The Art of Negative Thinking. It's the story of Robert Bogerud (28), a private detective with Down syndrome who uses unusual methods to investigate the disappearance of a legendary skater. Filming of the NOK23.9m film starts in August.
