The new brand, part of Modern Times Group will start operating on July 1st as a fully-integrated broadcasting group, streaming and content production company.
The launch of the new corporate brand Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) is the result of the split of MTG into two companies MTG Group AB - focusing on eSports, online Gaming, digital video content - and NENT Group, encompassing broadcasting, production activities and digital communication. The division of the Nordic giant into two major groups was announced already last March.

NENT Group's offers more than 50 original productions each year, with 14 premieres, 18 projects in production and 22 others in development. The latest Viaplay Original, the suspense thriller Rig 45 was launched last Friday in the Nordics.
Upcoming scripted Viaplay originals include the Swedish restaurant family saga The Restaurant/Vår tid är nu, the Christmas calendar series The Great Experiment, and the Danish show Pro’s and Con’s.
Viaplay’s first food documentary Four Hands Menu created by Swedish star chef Niklas Ekstedt for Sweden’s Mastiff AB, will premiere exclusively on the streaming service in the fall. The English speaking six-part series brings together two world renowned chefs in exotic places, who put together a unique ‘four hands menu’: Lennox Hastie and Niklas Ekstedt filmed in Sydney, Esben Holmboe-Bang and Bo Songvisava in Bangkok, Margot Henderson and Margarita Fores in Manila, Poul Andrias Ziska and Jock Zonfrillo in the Faroe Islands’ Thorshamn, and Adeline Grattard and Gabrielle Hamilton in Paris. The sixth culinary pair will be announced later.
