The Norwegian director Tyldum and producer Guri Neby of Einar Film have teamed up with US group Anonymous Content to create premium content for the Nordic and global market.

Morten Tyldum’s long-time production partner Guri Neby, will run Anonymous Content Nordic and be responsible for ‘building a team and overseeing all operations’ according to an official statement.

The move is a major coup for Oslo-based Einar Film, which has been expanding from its core commercials activities into film and TV drama over the last couple of years.

The partnership with the leading US indie player Anonymous Content - behind film & TV hits such The Wife, The Revenant, Spotlight, Mr Robot and True Detective - will open up new global opportunities for Einar’s large talent roster and shareholders, including Tyldum, Neby, actors Aksel Hennie, Nicolai Cleve Broch and director Jens Lien.

“There is no geographic limit to great storytelling,” said Anonymous Content partners. “There are so many incredible creators throughout the world and we are thrilled to partner with Morten and Guri on Anonymous Content Nordic to help bring this wealth of stories to a global audience.”

Tyldum, who directed Headhunters and The Imitation Game added: “We are thrilled to start this new venture to help bridge the gap and bring Norwegian and other Nordic stories to a global audience."

Neby continued: “There is an incredible richness of talent within the Nordic community, and the attention we get from outside our borders is growing. This collaboration allows us to develop and finance great local material into unique visual content. We’re excited to open up this venture to support writers and creators in Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. We are committed to protecting the right-holders and the local DNA of the projects,” she said.

Anonymous Content Nordic is collaborating with Norwegian music and comedy duo Ylvis and their company Concorde TV on a hybrid series, and is moving into scripted series development on Maja Lunde’s best-selling novel History Of Bees, Bobbi Peers’ YA book series William Wenton, and the popular comic strip Finnish Nightmares by graphic designer Karoliina Korhonen. The Finnish comics features the introverted Matti and his worst fears when it comes to social interaction.

Anonymous Content has another foreign offshoot in the UK through the film & TV production company Chapter One, set up last year with talent agencies Casarotto Ramsay and United Agents.
