The adult love story Tills solen går upp, (Till the Sun Rises) produced by Unlimited Stories will be Nordisk Film’s big Christmas movie 2020.
In the high concept film, Swedish star actor Mikael Persbrandt plays Peder, a stock-broker whose Christmas present from his wife (Helen Sjöholm of As it is in Heaven, Backström) is a book that turns out to have magic powers, as it allows the reader to control his/her dreams.
After bumping into Hanne, an old flame (happily married just like him, Peder starts dating her again in his dreams, and a new world opens up to both of them, but complications soon arise.
Dalle also stars in the film, alongside Vanna Rosenberg (Arne Dahl), Jennie Silfverhjelm (Beck), Björn Gustafsson (Becoming Astrid) and Filip Berg (Black Lake).
The writer/director says: “If we don't dream at night, we will go crazy. Unless we daydream when we are awake, we cannot live. I want to make a film about the playful ways to escape in life. And with these fantastic actors, I have the material from which to weave those dreams.”
Producer Patrick Ryberg of Unlimited Stories is a regular provider of feelgood movies for the Swedish market. He was attached to Dalle’s previous film Kingdom of Sweden (Lyrro Ut & Immandrarna) which sold 176,278 tickets in 2018 and the recent hits A Piece of My Heart (427,172 and Sune-Best Man (338,556 admissions).

The film is co-produced by SVT, Nordsvensk Filmunderhållning, Film i Väst, Nordisk Film, with support from the Swedish Film Institute.
The film partly shot in Västra Götaland will premiere nationwide at Christmas 2020.
