The Swedish family restaurant saga Vår tid är nu (lit ‘Our Time is Now’) directed by Harald Hamrell (Real Humans) is going to start filming in May with Suzanne Reuter, Adam Lundgren in some of the main roles. Jarowskij is producing for SVT and Viaplay.

The ambitious epic saga - previously known as Restaurant Löwander - follows the Löwander family over three decades, from 1945 until the early 1970s. Social and cultural changes taking place in Sweden and around the world are seen through the small world of the restaurant and its owners.

The 20x58’ series split into two seasons is penned by head writer Ulf Kvensler (Solsidan, Welcome to Sweden), based on an idea by Johan Rosenlind. Cast members also include Mattias Bergkvist, Hedda Stiernstedt and Peter Dalle. The series was co-produced by Film Väst and supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond. SVT will premiere it in the fall 2017 and Viaplay in the fall 2018.

“High quality dramas such as Vår tid är nu are important components of our output and a genre in which we bet heavily. We are proud and pleased to be making this production with SVT behind some of the best dramas in the Nordic region, said Jonas Karlen, CEO of Viaplay”.
