The senior Swedish film executive will replace Peter Possne at the leading Scandinavian regional production centre, starting January 1st, 2021.
Börjeson is currently Head of Production and Administration-TV Drama at TV4/ C More.
She has held several key positions in the Swedish film industry such as head of film funding, distribution and screening at the Swedish Film Institute, programme coordinator at the Göteborg Film Festival and marketing manager at Triangelfilm. She was also the Swedish representative at Eurimages.

Börjeson said she is “looking forward to contributing to Film i Väst’s exciting and innovative slate of international feature films and scripted television being produced in Sweden’s Västra Götaland.”
As many as 40 short films, feature length films, documentaries and TV dramas co-produced by Film i Väst have been lined up for a 2020 premiere.
Upcoming titles include Anders Thomas Jensen’s film Riders of Justice, Christoffer Boe’s The Taste of Hunger, Eskil Vogt’s The Innocents, Valdimar Jóhannsson’s Lamb, the TV series A Hustler’s Diary, Dreaming of England, documentary Children of the Enemy by Gorki Glaser-Müller, all backed as well by Nordisk Film & TV Fond
