Sign up for the must attend Nordic Talents competition and networking event unspooling September 6-7 at the National Film School of Denmark.

Registration on a first-come-first-served basis will close September 4, 2023.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond, organiser of the event is proud to announce this year’s prestigious jury for Nordic Talents’ PITCH COMPETITION.

The five jurors who will select the winners of the NOK 250,000 Pitch Prize and NOK 50,000 Special Mention Prize are:

Lone Scherfig, Danish writer/director/ credited for the multi-awarded Dogma 95 Italian for Beginners, English-language features such as The Finest, An Education and TV series The Shift. She is also partner in the production company Nordisk Film-Creative Alliance.

The winners to be announced September 7, will be selected among 15 projects from graduating Nordic writers, directors and/or producers, after two days of graduation film screenings and pitches in from of the jurors and Nordic Talents 200+ attendees.

Besides the centrepiece Pitch Competition, Nordic Talents’ second highlight is the PRODUCERS’ PITCH.

Eight to ten Nordic production companies have a unique opportunity to present themselves in a reverse pitch exercise and attract freshly graduated Nordic writers, directors and producers.

The event moderated by senior industry person Noemi Ferrer Schwenk of Yes & Noe Consultancy, will take place September 7, between 14.30-16.30.

  • What are your values?
  • What makes your company attractive to upcoming talents and producers?

Deadline to register for the Producers’ Pitch is August 2, 2023.

Nordic Talents is a unique meeting place where industry professionals can discover the next generation of talented Nordic writers, directors, producers, and where graduating students get a chance to mingle with top producers, commissioners, financiers, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Established directors who jump-started their careers at Nordic Talents include Hlynur Pálmason (Godland), May el-Toukhy (Queen of Hearts), Marja Pyykkö (Paradise), Gustav Möller (The Guilty), Kerren Lumer-Klabbers (The Architect) and Maria Bäck (Psychosis in Stockholm).
