Public broadcasters RTBF in Belgium and ETV in Estonia are set to air the premium drama, also launched in Norway (NRK), Sweden (SVT), Denmark (DR) and Iceland (RÚV).
The series won Best European TV Fiction at Prix Europa, the Mini-Series Silver Bird Prize at the Seoul Drama Awards, and the Special Jury Award at the Festival de la Fiction in La Rochelle.
“We have received incredible feedback and are happy to see Invisible Heroes continuing its internationally trajectory as well as being recognised by festivals around the world,” said Nicola Söderlund, managing partner at Eccho Rights.
The inspiring story of Finnish diplomat Tapani Brotherus who saved lives of thousands of Chileans during General Pinochet’s military coup in 1973 was directed by Mika Kurvinen. The series was produced by Finland's Kaiho Republic and Chile's Parox for YLE and Chilevisión, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
Eccho Rights closed earlier deals on the Finnish/Chilean drama with the US (Topic) and Spain (Filminn).
