Hollywood-based IMC partner Pete Stone will relocate to Stockholm and work closely with Albatros’ managing partners Martina Österling and Elin Sandström Lundh.

According to today’s joint statement, Stone’s role will be to expand the leading US talent agency ICM Partners’ clients' footprint internationally by ‘sourcing local language opportunities, international formats, and helping US and International clients cross-over into new markets’.

ICM Partners' stake in Albatros marks the major US talent agency’s second investment in a European agency after its recent partnership with London’s Primary Talent International.

Set up in 2017, the boutique Nordic talent agency Albatros represents a large roster of more than 60 film & TV directors and screenwriters such as Björn Runge, Iram Haq, Jens Lien, Peter Grönlund, Måns Herngren. The company also handles film & TV rights to the book series by authors Mikaela Bley and Denise Rudberg, and extended its literary collaboration by signing last year an exclusive output deal with Stockholm-based Partners in Stories. The company’s clients are involved in local and international projects for outlets such as NENT Group’s Viaplay, SVT, TV4, Netflix and HBO Nordic.

“We started Albatros Agency with a vision of boosting talent, working hands on with their projects, creating business opportunities and building long term partnerships,” said Österling and Sandström Lundh. “We are very proud of what we have established at Albatros so far, but even more excited about this next chapter, and to partner with ICM is a true defining moment for us."

Chris Silbermann, CEO of ICM Partners said “Scandinavia is exploding with world class talent, that we can help cross-over into the domestic US market, while ICM Partners' clients will be exposed to even greater opportunities internationally. Pete Stone is a fabulous agent with many successful International clients including in Scandinavia. He is a perfect cultural and entrepreneurial fit.”

Stone adds: “As the creative marketplace rapidly globalises, this venture represents an important step forward in our goal of representing and amplifying the world’s best voices.”
