Icelandic Descendants toplines Red Arrow Studios Int’l MIPCOM slate

The series from showrunner Tinna Hrafnsdóttir is due to premiere on Iceland’s streamer Síminn November 2.

Renowned Icelandic actress Tinna Hrafnsdóttir (The Valhalla Murders, Margrete-Queen of the North) holds one of the title roles and makes her debut as showrunner, head-writer and director.

The 6x45’ character-driven family drama tells the story of a dysfunctional Icelandic family, exploring themes such as greed, sibling rivalry, loyalty and responsibility.

Red Arrow Studios International’s other MIPCOM series highlights include the 6X30’ anthology series about war in Ukraine Those Who Stayed produced by FILM.UA in co-production with Nordic pubcasters SVT, NRK and YLE. The show which brings together established and emerging Ukrainian talent with each episode was pre-sold to DR, RÚV and Lumiere for Benelux.

The international programme sales group Red Arrow Studios International is part of seven.one Studios, owned by Germany media powerhouse ProSiebenSat.1.
